Anne and Kevin Tie the Knot!

The time had finally come for these two young lovebirds to exchange their vows and we were honored to capture their fabulous day! We started things off in Anne's hotel room at the Garden Inn on the coast of Carlsbad. Everyone was so excited as Anne put on her lovely dress and had her final touches of makeup applied. What a gorgeous bride! We took some amazing shots of Anne down in the courtyard in the warm afternoon sunlight. After that, we took our leave and cruised up to St. Mary Star of the Sea, a quaint old church near the Oceanside Pier. There we met up with Kevin and his groomsmen; Kevin was calm, cool and (mostly) collected. We could see the excitement in his eyes and the anticipation bursting out of him as he chatted with his groomsmen!

The Church itself had beautiful lighting. The sunlight shone through the huge windows and made for such a lovely ceremony. Father Mike was a fantastic officiant. He asked Kevin and Anne to kiss each other several times throughout the ceremony (he didn't have to ask twice)!

We stopped off at the Oceanside Pier for some twilight photos of the glowing couple after the ceremony before heading off the reception.

The reception was held back at the Garden Inn in Carlsbad. Kevin and Anne had requested a low-light setting for the dinner and dancing, which created a very romantic atmosphere. There were some really great highlights from the reception: the slide show of Kevin and Anne's childhood photos, the anniversary dance and the cute little cookie-cakes that Anne's mom had baked herself! We had a really great time shooting Anne and Kevin for their engagement session, and we loved shooting their wedding. We know that they will enjoy a lifetime of love and luck, and we are proud to be their photographers for life! Have a great honeymoon!
